Organization of Living Space for Elderly People at Joint-Separate Cohabitation of Complex Families

Housing in the developed society should respond to the variety of social, age and anthropometrical needs of people. With the years all systems of the person undergo considerable changes. Its social status, quality of life, adaptability to restrictions and changes of environment vary. To create a comfort environment for elderly people it is necessary to pay special attention to the organization of decent conditions for joint-separate cohabitation of several generations of a family to ensure social and physiological adaptation of an elderly person.
Keywords: elderly people, joint-separate cohabitation, architectural-planning principles and methods.

A.L. BOLSHEROTOV, Doctor of Technical Sciences, the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MSUCI) World Rating of Universities: to catch up and leave behind. But is it necessary? Part I. Ratings of World Universities

World ratings of universities and ratings of Russian higher educational institutions are intended for determining the level of training of specialists of higher qualification in higher educational institutions. Russian education has been involved in the world system. What are the chances of our top universities to become leaders of the world education and what is necessary for it?
Keywords: world rating of universities, rating of Russian universities, rating of universities of civil engineering, World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings, ARWU, methods of compilation of universities rating

R.B. KATSYNEL, Chief Engineer, Unitary Enterprise “Institut Grodnograzhdanproekt” (the Republic of Belarus) Cellular Concrete and Energy Efficient Construction

The experience in construction and operation of energy efficient residential buildings, the external enclosing structures of which are made of autoclaved concrete, is described. Data on energy consumption for heating at different variants of enclosing structures used are presented. The actual reduction in consumption of thermal energy for heating up to 52 kWh/m2 is shown. Special attention is paid to the necessity of introduction of exchange ventilation in houses with good sealed windows and introduction of flat-by-flat regulation of the temperature regime.
Keywords: cellular concrete, gas silicate, resistance to heat transfer, single-layer cellular concrete panels, exchange plenum and exhaust ventilation.

S.B. BELANOVICH, General Director, N.P. SAZHNEV, Candidate of Technical Sciences, adviser to the head, N.K. SHELEGA, Production director ZSK, OAO “Upravlyayuschaya Kompaniya Kholdinga “Zabudova” (Chist, Molodechnensky District, Minskaya Oblast, the Republic of Belarus), S.L. GALKIN, Deputy Director for science UP “TSNTUS” (Minsk, the Republic of Belarus) The Use of Reinforced Autoclaved Cellular Concrete Products

Properties of autoclaved cellular concrete enabling to produce structures which overtop the products made of heavy concrete and wood due to the combination of strength and thermal performances, and durability under fire as well are presented. It is shown, that the complex use of cellular concrete products including those reinforced makes it possible to reduce the own weight of walls, partitions, coverings and coatings, ensure thermal and fire-prevention indicators without the use of insulation materials.
Keywords: cellular concrete, reinforcement of autoclaved cellular concrete slabs, nomenclature, complex use of cellular concrete products.

Yu.A. RYKHLENOK, Head of Enclosing Structures Laboratory, RUP “Institut BelNIIS” (Minsk, the Republic of Belarus) Experience in the Use of Cellular Concrete in the Republic of Belarus

An analysis of rational fields of application of small-piece wall products made of cellular concrete which are the most widely used material for construction of external walls and internal partitions in housing and civil construction of the Republic of Belarus is given.
Keywords: cellular concrete, wall blocks, housing and civil construction, technical decision

A.S. GORSHKOV, Candidate of Technical Sciences, the St. Petersburg State University of Technology and Design Determination of Tilting and Stability Moments for Floor-by-Floor Supported Walls Made of Gas Concrete Blocks Masonry

Operation of a fragment of the wall structure made of cellular concrete blocks of autoclave hardening when it leans floor-by-floor on the monolithic floor of a building with monolithic reinforced concrete framework and conditions ensuring the stability (non-falling out) of this fragment within the limits of one storey under the effect of the tilting moments from wind load are considered.
